5 fun facts about Kant

I’m working on lots of ‘bigger’ articles and just wanted to post something, so I’ll write this:

1. His grandfather was Scottish

2. He never married

3. He was man of small stature at just over 5ft, and he was not a towering, imposing man (which is how I always imagined him)

4. His student, Marcus Herz, wrote the prayer of Maimonides (kind of like the hippocratic oath)

5. Kant wrote on many topics, including the science of his day, and even layman political treatises; “On Perpetual Peace” is cited as an inspiration for the League of Nations (later United Nations)
