I'm looking forward to Skyfall, and have indeed been quite a loyal Bond fan in terms of cinema attendance. Ideologically, I am opposed to both the Bond franchise's portrayal of women, it's extremely positivistic techno-phillic ideology, and also its rampant Consequentialist ethics. I could not be more removed from all three of these stances! But I see in Bond films a reflection of masculine desires on all three of these points, and I learn a lot from what others accept as reasonable.

Not such a big fan of the rebooted franchise; enjoyed Casino Royale, but Quantum of Solace bored me and I felt the story concept was as weak as some in the Roger Moore era. However, the Bond movies have never been consistent, so I am optimistic for a rollicking good ride with Skyfall, when I eventually get the time to watch!
