Sinistre and Destre’s noumenal realm

Happiness is not an ideal of reason, but of imagination

About this weblog

The purpose of this blog

This blog functions as our diary; some posts will be password protected; our memory (and computer memory) cannot be trusted to interpret the past, in the hyper-real world of surveillance and recoding history; so I shall do that electronically.

We (at present) are anonymous three writers and the owner/moderator of the site, Michael [Not necessarily his real name. We which use pseudonyms to hide our identity for political and social reasons. Michael has decided to represent them since we share the same view about most things and each writer may pose their own view with their name signed before or after the post to individuate them, which also functions to demarcate our positions, which contrasts sometimes between each other writer.

Who are we?

The contributors of the blog are:

1. Sinistre – A good long time friend, insinuated to be a skeptic in some issues.

2. Michael – Interests: Metal, the role of art, Kant, humour

3. Destre – information witheld

4. Antisophie (she seems to be angry about everything)

5. Sinistre*

History

This is a continuation of my Kant’s Konigsberg Kafe blog, which I created in spring 2004, Sinistre’s web log and Destre’s publications are also synthesised on one site.

    Hi

I came across your weblog the other day when I was checking out references to zemiology – a word which I and few others coined during a conference on Spetes to describe a new discipline based around the notion of harm. Zemiology is mentioned in notes you provide for a draft thesis entitled: Verstehen: Understanding understanding, or, ‘how to account for human action’. Can you put me in tocuh with the author of the thesis? I am interested in charting the impact of zemiology.

    All the best

    Paddy
