Two Kinds of Razor: Cheap explanations vs. economic explanations

Definition 1:

i. A cheap explanation is the one which tries best to relate by relata
ii. A cheap explanation is the one which is agnostic, or apathetic to ontological commitment or semantic content, or epistemological verification.
iii. A cheap explanation is not necessarily a strategic one
iv. A cheap explanation has no constraint to violate ad hoc-ness (it violates systematicity)

Definition 2:

i. An economic explanation is a T* such that explains more than a T
ii. An economic explanation is sensitive to ontological commitment, and commits to the least unconventional entities posited
iii. An economic explanation seeks to refer
iv. An economic explanation seeks to be a superior one to its rivals
v. An economic explanation seeks to be related to other aspects within the ‘furniture’ of the discourse (if we are talking about an explanation in physics, we relate to the building blocks of that discourse; say, heat, mass etc…)
