Dardanian prince

Aeneas was a leader of the Dardanians and a minor Trojan prince. During the time when they needed to be their most fierce; he fought valiantly, and lost.

Aeneas’ identity is based on those things of the world around him.His respect from Hector, Priam, his father Anchises; his love of his family, the adoration of his subjects, and the fear from his enemies.

With the fall of Pergamum. All of that was lost.

What a tragic loss of self to have lost the thing upon which one’s greatness and very sense of self is based.

This is the tragedy of loss. The loss of self.
