Michael valourises the Aenied.

The Aeneid is tragic, heroic, conative. As such, the work by Virgil is beautiful; however, if we were to actually live such a life we would hardly find it special. We would curse the Gods for such unfortunate events, as Aeneas did; and yet, from the distance of the third person, as the audience, we see greatness and awe in such horrible lives. I suppose the same goes for that star cross’d couple; what were they called again? Oh yes, I remember now, Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue…everyone else after them is just a parody…
